- בַּגָּרf. (preced.) a woman of age. Tosef.Keth.V, 1 הב׳ כתביעה (read בת׳, Var. ed. Zuck. הבּוֹגֶרֶת בתביעה) she who is of age when asked (by her betrothed) to be married; Y. ib. 29d הב׳ בשעה (corr. acc.). Ib. נותנין לב׳וכ׳ a girl of age is allowed twelve months for preparation for her wedding.Ch. v. בַּגִּיר.
